Winter 2019/20 was slightly warmer than the average. Fortunately, Spring was rainy enough to bring water to the plant without exposing it to mildew. Summer 2020 was hot and dry, ideal to concentrate naturally on the aromatics: a traditional southern summer! Chateau Nozieres faced an interesting harvest challenge: while the first harvest went smoothly to pick grapes highly concentrated, a hard rain happened, and lasted for a week. Olivier decided to let the remaining clusters suck up the water provided by nature to dilute the sugar content and bring fresh aromatic to the batch. And it worked wonders! A perfect balance!

Clay limestone, old terraces of Lot Valley. 3 different terroirs: 2nd terrace (sandy clay), 3rd terrace (more clay with gallet), Cone des Boulis volcanic calcaire (heavy concentration of limestone pebbles and rocks, along with clay). Selection of the best harvest.
