Cahors
In 2022 the vintage began with a relatively dry winter, followed by cool nights in March that delayed bud-break to a more normal schedule and helped avoid frost damage. Spring remained mild and slightly cooler than average, slowing early vine growth, while May brought warmer, stable weather that allowed rapid, even flowering. From summer onward the season turned hot and very dry, with prolonged heatwaves and drought producing small, highly concentrated berries. By harvest, the fruit showed deep colour, intense ripe black-fruit aromas and firm tannic structure — giving Château Nozières Ambroise de l’Her 2022 a powerful, concentrated profile with strong ageing potential.
